ITALIA 2008
This fabulous trip will include 7 nights in Casperia, a medieval hilltop town located about an hour north of Rome. Our accommodations are in a beautifully restored villa with 16th century frescoes on the wall, elegant, modern and with gorgeous views of the countryside from the private terrace.
We are including three spa adventures ranging from a wild mineral spring used for centuries, a visit to a well-known Italian terme, and a day at a very exclusive “beauty farm” in an old palace. We are very fortunate to be given access to this exclusive destination spa. Our full day spa package will include several spa treatments and we’ll lunch and relax by a fragrant Roman pool.
We will also have two days with our own experienced tour guide. We will spend one day exploring the splendors of Rome and one day enjoying the countryside with a visit to Orvieto, with its beautiful duomo and well known for Italian ceramics.
The price is inclusive of these cultural activities, spa therapies that you won’t soon forget, and travel to our destinations by private car and driver. Room accommodations are priced as single or double. Breakfast is included every day, as well as a Welcome Dinner on the night we arrive and a gourmet extravaganza under ancient oaks on our last evening before returning home (or exploring more of Italy on your own.)
There will be plenty of time scheduled for opportunities to explore this magical place that hasn’t (dare I say it) been discovered yet. There are many places to hike, bike or relax. In this fast changing world I find that Italy, especially Casperia, gives me a feeling of stepping back in time that makes me appreciate our world’s history a little more and want to preserve these environments in our country and our world.
